Examples of best practices:
While there is no government in the area that stands out as being citizen tech friendly, here are some local governments/people that have a great head start:
City of Oregon - For posting audio files of meetings and council packets online. Also has a great council calendar with RSS feeds you can subscribe to.

Mark Bula, Sylvania Councilperson - For podcasts and blog of meetings. Mark no longer is a council person, but his efforts should still be noted.

Darlene Fisher and Robert Torres - For creating a site for citizens to sound off regarding questions and issues in the Toledo Public Schools.

While Blogs are encouraged, you won't see them listed here because they are not providing an embracing purpose. If your blog does do this, let us know. Want to get on this list? Create something innovative that can bring your citizens closer then let us know. Contact us and tell us what you did and we will list you. To be listed you or your site should be innovative, different, and maintained. A Blog is nice, but if you are not using it for citizens to participate in government more, then it won't be listed. Don't know if your solution qualifies? Contact us and we can tell you.
In an official sense, Lucas County has gone made and official Blog. We will watch to see if it tries to engage citizens or not. Check it out at: http://apps.co.lucas.oh.us/lcblog/
